September’s Working Bees

The Bobcat that came with the farm was fired up for the first time since we took over the property. Once Trevor and Terry worked out how to operate it, Trevor used it to clear the back fence line.

Cupboards in the unit and the garage to the unit were emptied out and washed. Rubbish was loaded to go to the tip. The deck at the unit has been cleaned along with the back steps to the house. John has now finished fixing all the outside lights along with the lights in the gazebo.

Monique spent the whole day in the amazing garden that we have, while Janice and Sam helped in the afternoon. It is starting to look good with some beds now fully weeded.

Member and Volunteer, Shane, used the farm Tractor with the grader blade to level the ground where the new fence is to be erected. He also gave the tractor a service and tidied up some electricals with his vast mechanical knowledge.

Kaye’s Fencing are working on the fence at the farm, digging and cementing all the posts.
