Marley lives with Tracey and Peter in the House.Marley is living at Hannah’s Farm because his dad Ted has had several trips to hospital and is unable to care for him at the moment. Ted was chauffeured to the farm to visit his little boy, Marley.
Marley unfortunately has ruptured his left hind cruciate ligament. Marley and his adoptive brothers spotted a wallaby on the other side of the house yard fence. All 3 instantly turned into chase mode with Marley letting out a yelp and carrying his hind leg. X-rays have confirmed the injury and Marley underwent surgery at the Ulverstone Vet Clinic. The operation to repair his ruptured cruciate ligament went very well. He was kept overnight at the Vet clinic on a drip and very heavily sedated. He returned to Hannah’s Farm in the morning to start the long recovery period needed under the watchful eye of Tracey and Peter. Marley has been back to the Ulverstone Vet Clinic and has had all the stitches removed and the cone taken off.
Marley’s wonderful kind Carer, Tracey, takes him for walks in our doggie pram. Two to three times a day he will be taken on the lead for a slow walk on flat ground.Marley is doing so very well considering his age as he is over 13 years old.
